This work is grounded in Relational Life Therapy, developed by Terry Real, and practiced worldwide.

What Makes This Approach Different

For RLT Practitioners in Training

Our sliding scale program connects individuals and couples with RLT practitioners who are completing advanced training through the Relational Life Institute. By participating, you can gain experience using RLT while helping make relational support more financially accessible.

This opportunity may be a good fit if you are actively completing RLT training, are a licensed therapist or certified coach, can donate five sessions, and feel prepared to work independently within your professional scope.

Meet Our Practitioners

Our practitioners are either licensed therapists or certified coaches who are completing advanced training through the Relational Life Institute. All services are provided independently by each practitioner. The Relational Life Foundation does not guarantee outcomes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Five sessions are not a full course of therapy, but they can create meaningful momentum. Many participants report clearer insight into their patterns, stronger communication tools, and a better understanding of how to take accountability and repair after conflict.

The purpose of this program is to introduce practical relational skills and interrupt stuck cycles. Some participants choose to continue working with their practitioner beyond the initial sessions, while others use the tools learned to continue growth on their own.

We offer five sessions at a sliding scale rate based on household income and financial circumstances. Our goal is to make relational support accessible while honoring the professional time of our practitioners.

Specific fees are discussed after you complete the inquiry form before you are connected with a practitioner. Note: we do not offer refunds.

Sessions are provided by Relational Life Therapy practitioners who are completing advanced training through the Relational Life Institute. Each practitioner is either a licensed therapist or certified coach in their respective regions.

Each practitioner operates independently. The Relational Life Foundation facilitates matching and access but does not provide direct clinical services.

Many practitioners offer virtual sessions, making this program accessible regardless of location. Some also offer in person sessions depending on geography.

You can indicate your preference when completing the inquiry form.

Fit matters. If after your first or second session you feel the match is not right, we will support a transition to another practitioner for your remaining sessions.

We do not offer refunds, but we are committed to helping you find a practitioner you feel safe with, challenged by, and supported by.

Relational Life Therapy is a direct, skills based approach. It emphasizes accountability, clear communication, and structured conflict repair. Many participants appreciate that the work is active and focused rather than open ended.

Both individuals and couples are welcome. While much of RLT focuses on partnership dynamics, the skills are equally powerful for individuals seeking to improve communication, boundaries, and relational patterns.

Yes. Your inquiry form and sessions with your practitioner are confidential. Each practitioner follows the confidentiality standards required by their professional licensure or coaching certification.

At the end of the program, you and your practitioner can decide whether to continue working together. We recommend discussing ongoing fees during your discovery call to ensure alignment. There is no obligation to continue past your five sessions.

We do not offer refunds. If your practitioner is not a good fit, we are happy to reassign you to a different one.
