About the Relational Life Foundation

Our Mission: We make relational skills accessible to everyone through affordable therapy and education grounded in Relational Life Therapy so that cost, culture, or circumstance never stand in the way of relational healing.

Our Vision: We envision a world that knows how to love well, rooted in relational health and collective repair.
Relational health shapes how we handle conflict, how we show up for our families, and how we build trust in our communities. Yet most people were never taught the skills required to sustain strong relationships. The Relational Life Foundation exists to change that.

What is relational health?

Relational health is the ability to connect, communicate, take accountability, and repair when relationships experience strain. It is the foundation of strong partnerships, resilient families, and thriving communities.
When relational health is strong:
These are not personality traits or private therapy concepts. They are learnable skills that strengthen families, communities, and culture.

The 3 Pillars of Relational Life Foundation

Research Initiatives

We conduct original therapeutic research, based-on Relational Life Therapy (RLT), to understand its transformative impact, inform our programs, and be included in APA education and clinical training programs globally.

Accessible Education

Each month, we award two 50% scholarships toward certification through Relational Life Institute (RLI) to practitioners, therapists, and coaches who are ready to bring the principals of RLT into their communities.

Affordable Therapy

Affordable, skills-based support for individuals, couples and families. Five focused RLT sessions designed to help you communicate more clearly, take accountability, and begin repairing what feels stuck.

How we fit into the Relational Life movement

Relational Life Therapy (RLT), developed by Terry Real, is a therapeutic model that integrates psychological insight with accountability and relational repair.
The Relational Life Institute (RLI) trains and certifies practitioners in this model.
The Relational Life Foundation (RLF) expands this work beyond the therapy room. As a 501(c)(3) public charity, we increase access to relational skills through sliding scale programs, scholarships, community education, and research initiatives.
We focus on access, education, research, and public impact, ensuring relational skills are not limited to those who can afford private therapy. We work to elevate relational health as a public good, not a private luxury.
